Fluid Media: Changes Aren't Permanent But Change Is is a Summer 2026 exhibition presented by SHIM Art Network.

ODETTA Gallery, in collaboration with the SHIM Art Network's global community of artist-run galleries, will be presenting Color's Healing Force, By Any Means Necessary, a traveling exhibition of 19 artists' works in addition to four other galleries' installations within the SHIM Art Network.

Color's Healing Force, By Any Means Necessary, was initially shown at the Aqua Miami Art Fair in December, 2025. Venice is the second location on this tour in addition to these artworks being published on Artsy. The exhibition will be installed at Imagoars, Associazione Culturale ImagoArs, Cannaregio, Venice, Italy from September 3 through October 5, 2026. Gallery hours are 12–6 every day except Saturdays in observance of the Sabbath.

Color's Healing Force, By Any Means Necessary! is a call for color and its ability to heal. Think meditation, chakras, auras, vibration, protective colors as symbols, and more.

SHIM Art Network in collaboration with Art Pics art cards are excited to announce The Global Gift Shop international exhibition. Featuring encapsulated artworks — small, self-contained original artworks that enable creatives of all disciplines to engage in global exhibitions, and gain access to Artsy.net, the world's largest art e-commerce platform. This exhibition radically re-imagines the idea of what fine art can be, and in turn opens the art world to an enormous new class of younger, and more diverse collectors.

This fresh and innovative model was conceived by ArtPics Cards founder Gareb Shamus, who has a long and successful understanding of trading collectibles and building an enormous community of those who love them via his founding of Comic Con.

The Global Gift Shop is curated by French artist and curator Alexandra Mas, co-founder of The EDGE Magazine, a luxury and cultural biannual; and by Peter Hopkins, artist and founder of the SHIM Art Network. Resident artist Samantha Heydt will simultaneously create a micro-installation within this show. Further collaborators include Casa Lienzo artist residency of Mexico City, #Hashtag Gallery of Mexico City, and ODETTA Gallery of New York City — presenting a traveling exhibition of 10 x 10 inch works titled, Color's Healing Force, by Any Means Necessary!

ODETTA Gallery founder and curator Ellen Hackl Fagan expands the concepts in a liminal group exhibition opening February 11, 2026, at the LIC-A Art Space in Long Island City. This meditation on abandoned, vacant, or deserted places and objects evokes profound feelings of desolation, melancholy, and nostalgia. Part homage to overlooked remnants of the past and part cautionary tale about transience and neglect, the artworks invite viewers to reflect on familiar signs, surfaces, and locations encountered during travels and in everyday life.

The pieces transform the ordinary into a rich tapestry of personal and collective memory, expanding the endless scroll of possible narratives hidden within the mundane.

"The attraction I personally have to these works is about a deep wistfulness for the remnants of the ghosts of the past—captured in the cruddy, faded colors, peeling paint, and shattered glass," says Fagan. "I have a long-standing fascination with the Moderne Design of the 1930s through the 1960s, evident in both the architecture and the bold lettering on these old storefronts and signs, which once signaled velocity, ambition, and effortless style. What's left behind is both sad and undeniably beautiful."

To deepen the thematic exploration, Fagan has invited two distinguished guest artists, Patrick Sansone and Richard Klein, whose works serve as poignant anchors for the exhibition.

Art is a way of exploring, investigating, and expressing what matters most to us. The paths we follow while making art lead us into emotional territories inaccessible by any other means—realms beyond words or ideas. As artists, we draw attention to what we care about most and invite others to share in that experience.

While running ODETTA Gallery in Bushwick, NYC, I kept a studio behind the exhibition space. Visiting artists often wandered back to find me absorbed in a series I call Seeking the Sound of Cobalt Blue. Surrounded by paintings awash in blue—spilling across the walls and even onto the floor—they would pause and linger, telling me that the color made them feel uplifted, alert, and alive. That experience was the impetus for this exhibition.

All is fluid. In physics, a fluid is a body whose particles move easily among themselves. We artists who are involved with fluid media know this property of fluidity. The substance has discrete particles, and yet they move as one.

Seen from a great remove, this is a good description of life: a situation where smaller parts create the whole. We are a small part of an absolutely amazing world.

As Rick Rubin says in the end of his foundational book, "The Creative Act": "Art has an ability to connect us beyond the limitations of language. Through this, we get to face our inner world outward, remove the boundaries of separation, and participate in the great remembering of what we came into this life knowing: There is no separation. We are one."

"Nature's Way" is an exhibition demonstrating how artists select their subject matter when creating a work of art. Oftentimes artists are drawn to depict what they see, both in the outside world, and in their own mind's eye. Motivated by beauty, curiosity, emotion, and technology, artists often pursue making art as a means of better understanding their thoughts or tools.

Guiding this interest is a reference to the Roman philosopher and poet Lucretius, circa 99–55 BC, who posits that we are part of a universe composed of atoms whose fate is based on scientific reasons rather than supernatural ones. In his poem "On the Nature of Things," he discusses that atoms have a swerve — a type of behavior he refers to as "free will" — which directs internal agency from the atomic level on up to all living creatures.

For "Nature's Way", fifty-four ODETTA Digital artists offer works that demonstrate their inner voice, that inner stirring that prompts them to make a work of art.

Real Art Ways, Hartford, CT — a mainstay institution in New England at the forefront of alternative multidisciplinary arts and innovative exhibitions, celebrating its 40th anniversary year.

Into the Blue Again is a solo exhibition of Hackl Fagan's saturated blue paintings on paper. Exploring the nature of synaesthesia through immersive environments, Fagan works with a saturated blue pigment, and employs printmaking and photo-gramming gestures. She positions the paintings as if they're hovering, just barely off the floor, horizontally.
